CONDUCT ON-BOARD

1. General Conduct

No passengers on-board shall in any manner interfere with the duties of crew or lessen their ability. Passenger shall follow all the guidelines & instructions issued by Pilot-In-Command/Air Taxi staff for ensuring their safety, other passenger’s safety, aircraft’s safety or for the purpose of maintaining good order & discipline.

No passengers shall involve into physical or verbal argument with crew or fellow passengers. They shall not intentionally involve into any act which is likely to endanger the safety of the aircraft or of any person on-board the aircraft.

If, in Air Taxi staff’s reasonable opinion, a passenger’s conduct is unacceptable, then, Air Taxi staff may take necessary measures to prevent continuation of such conduct, including restraint. In such cases, Air Taxi reserves the right to:

  • Disembark & refuse onward carriage at any point
  • Prosecute for offences committed on-board the aircraft
  • Recover any & all the costs whether direct/consequential, incurred as a result of the passenger’s behaviour, including but not limited to ATC charges, diversion fuel costs, airport landing charges, necessary operational costs, costs incurred due to disrupted operations/flight delays & misconnections & inconvenience to other passengers.

2. Denied Boarding/Right to Refuse Carriage

Air Taxi, may refuse to carry the passenger or their baggage, at its discretion, if one or more of the following have occurred or Air Taxi staff reasonably believes may occur:

  • Passenger has failed to arrive at the boarding gate 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
  • Passenger has failed to check-in 30minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
  • The carriage of the passenger or their baggage may endanger or affect the safety, health, or materially affect the comfort of other passengers or crew
  • Passenger has refused to submit to a security check
  • Passenger fails to observe Air Taxi staff’s instructions with respect to safety or security
  • Passenger’s mental or physical state, including their impairment from alcohol or drugs, presents a hazard or risk to themselves, to fellow passengers, to crew or to Air Taxi property
  • Passenger has refused or failed to undergo health screening or a health examination requested by Air Taxi staff or by a government enforcement agency
  • Passenger has not paid the applicable fare, tax, fees & charges
  • Passenger does not appear to have valid travel documents
  • Passenger presents a ticket/voucher/boarding pass that has been acquired unlawfully, altered in any way or is a counterfeit
  • Passenger cannot prove that he/she is the person named in the ticket/voucher/boarding pass
  • Passenger has previously committed any one of the acts or omissions referred to above, & Air Taxi has reason to believe that he/she may do so again.

3. Self-offloading

Self-offloading after boarding the aircraft is not permitted, since it can cause safety & security risks, besides inconveniencing fellow passengers on board. Accordingly, in the event that any passenger expresses his/her desire to offload himself/herself & is subsequently offloaded, then he/she will have to wait in the airport premises under the observation of Air Taxi’s security staff for security reasons. Air Taxi shall cancel the entire ticket & shall not provide any refund for the same. Additionally, such passenger will have to pay a ‘self-offloading penalty’ charge as mentioned in ‘Fares, Taxes, Fees & Charges‘ section. Air Taxi may at its sole discretion, not penalize such passenger, in case of a medical emergency or any unforeseen mishap such as death/accident of a blood relative. However, the passenger will have to provide evidence, to justify the emergency/mishap. In case of medical conditions, Air Taxi may insist for a medical certificate from a doctor at the Airport.

4. Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking

Consuming alcohol/drug abuse/smoking is strictly prohibited on all Air Taxi flights. No passenger shall consume alcohol/drugs/any psychoactive substance in any part of an aircraft during any phase of the flight.

Air Taxi reserves the right to refuse carriage of passengers in possession of E-cigarettes & of any baggage containing E-cigarettes.

5. Electronic Devices

For safety reasons, during taxi, take-off & landing, use of personal electronic devices like mobile, camera, laptop & other entertainment gadgets (but not limited to), is prohibited. PEDs like laptop, electronic entertainment devices can be used during cruise phase only without disturbing the good order on-board.

6. Photography 

No passenger shall take, or cause or permit to be taken, at a Government aerodrome or from an aircraft in flight, any photograph except in accordance with & subject to the terms & conditions of a permission in writing granted by the Director-General, a Joint Director General, a Deputy Director-General or the Director of Regulations & Information of the Civil Aviation Department.

7. Tampering with Safety Equipment

Passengers shall not indulge in any act (attempted or otherwise) of removal or tampering with any safety equipment (including opening of first aid kit without prior permission from the crew) on Air Taxi aircraft.

8. Seating

Air Taxi reserves the right to change the seating of a passenger in order to comply with the safety regulations or for aircraft load adjustment/configuration.

9. Hygiene

Even if not required by regulations, good practice in regards to personal hygiene & surrounding is a must, as it helps to ensure your crew & fellow passengers remain in good health & atmosphere. Passengers are advised to not litter on-board. Air Taxi aircrafts do not have provision of lavatory, galley compartment, sink/wash basin, food/beverage station on-board.
